Podcast Transformation is the next step in the podcast industry, taking it to the next level. The main goals of the project were to bring all the usefulness and potential of podcasts to the surface and create new forms of communication, in which useful capitals would be exchanged between users. Also, I wanted to create new functionalities which were missing on platforms with podcasts.

Podcasts in the form of online broadcasts is one of the major new features (May 2020) that greatly changes the classic podcast format. But before we get into the many benefits this feature brings, let's understand how it all works.

First of all, the podcaster registers a new online broadcast to enable you to publish a link on the page with a lives broadcasts poster and share this link in social networks and chats.
Setting up a broadcast is very simple: you connect a microphone to your laptop or phone, and select a channel in the application from which the sound will be taken. If necessary, the sound is adjusted using equalizer directly in the application or on the website, depending on what device you will be working with.

Then you can add guests to the broadcast at any time, even in the middle of the live broadcast, and you can adjust to them the volume and equalizer right on the fly with a simple interface, in case the guest in his app poorly tuned equalizer.

You also have the ability to add as many soundtracks as you like, such as a light musical background or a sound pause.

And all of this can be conveniently triggered on the fly and adjusted with a simple interface that doesn't contain anything superfluous.
Another innovation is the ability for listeners to communicate with podcast presenters and guests by means of text chat. The listener can post a question right during the broadcast, and the presenter or guest answers it right away on the air. This feature has a lot of possibilities, which I will talk about next. For now, I will only say that in addition to the ability to write to the general chat broadcast, users have the ability to communicate via text messages on the platform.
Internet radio stations is a format in which you can broadcast music and talk, just like a normal radio. You can have your own "light bulb" Internet radio station with a leisurely schedule, such as a couple of times a week, or you can have a full-time, permanent schedule.
A convenient and diverse podcast filter. This sounds surprising, but unfortunately, as of now (May 2020), it's even rare on many podcast sites, and users don't have the ability to conveniently find podcasts of interest.
The online podcast format is very much transforming the concept of classic podcasts, now you can even stream a podcast on the go! Of course podcasts of this type probably can't be of high quality yet, although with some skill, diction and a good portable smartphone microphone, you can probably get pretty good quality by recording a podcast even on the go.
The format of online broadcasts helps create some dynamics and randomness in podcasts, as any listener can bring up an interesting topic in an online chat and even offer to join the conversation right in the course of the podcast. This takes podcasts to a new, lively level where a bridge is created between presenters and listeners, transforming the classic podcast format in a big way.
An online chat, by means of which the communication between presenters and listeners is created, opens up useful opportunities.
For example, there is a wide scope for educational topics, starting from any podcasts with experts in their fields to which you can ask exciting questions and get an immediate answer, ending with specialized podcasts on educational topics, in which you can now get feedback as well. It should be noted that you can ask a question not only in live broadcasts, but in any podcast which, after broadcasting, is stored in the channel of this podcast.
Moreover, online chat in live broadcasts with public figures is a nice opportunity to ask a question to a celebrity or maybe even to communicate with a voice in a live broadcast if a listener raises an interesting topic and the presenters will not mind.

But in addition to online chat, do not forget about the usual text correspondence on the platform, which can be just as useful. For example, the listeners can get acquainted with each other on the podcast or the presenter in live broadcast can write to the podcast guest to correct the conversation, if necessary.
One more thing I would like to say about educational podcasts, this topic has great potential for development and can be scaled into something even a level higher and more useful. For example, this can be an online lesson, where the teacher tells a free form on the subject, and listeners ask their questions, then get answers to them. It seems like nothing new, but because it is a podcast format that does not force a serious teaching activity, but at the same time gives freedom, when both the teacher and the listener can interact directly on the go, for example on a walk in the park, and that is what creates a new format of communication in the educational field.
Internet radio stations are a convenient way to quickly and easily launch your radio station on a platform with an existing audience. Also a huge plus is that the interface is as simple as possible, unlike existing programs, everything is managed in a few clicks. And what is very important - it is the ability to broadcast from any device, including a smartphone. Imagine the situation, you're lying on the couch with your smartphone and at the same time broadcasting music on your cozy, "lamp" Internet radio, and in between tracks you periodically have a conversation or a radio program. Many people dreamed of having their own mini-radio station, but few would have believed that technology would grow to the point where a presenter could do it all from a smartphone while lying on the couch :)
With so much improved podcast functionality and added dynamism and flexibility, other classic podcast usefulnesses are taken to the next level as well.

The first is the opportunity to improve their professional skills for beginners presenters, journalists, bloggers, etc. Yes, you could do it in the classic podcasts, but the current format adds the dynamism that online brings, which makes the experience more difficult, but at the same time the improvement of skills increases significantly.

The second is the opportunity to promote your brand and build an audience around you. This is also not a new side of podcasts, but due to the same online, it is taken to a new level, due to the possibility of communicating with the audience.

The third thing is the ability to communicate with the world in a convenient audio format, if the video format is not convenient for you. In the classic version of podcasts, there is no possibility to communicate with the audience during a live broadcast. This is more suitable for those who are not confident with the video format.

Fourth, it is to increase the popularity of beginners and not only public personalities. Same nothing new, but at the expense of the same online, promoting yourself through such broadcasts goes to a new, live level.
Based on the above, we can identify the main target audience.
It includes:
- aspiring presenters/journalists/bloggers;
- public figures;
- entrepreneurs;
- teachers;
- DJs;
- creative individuals.
The design is made in the Swiss style. The grid used is a four-column grid. It works so as to create a great contrast between the two-column and four-column grid. This means that first of all clearly read two columns (the first with the second as a whole column, and respectively the third with the fourth as a whole) which divide the page in half along the vertical axis. But also very subtly read the second and fourth columns, which are as a secondary and very contrasting with the first and third in terms of content.
Contrast is one of the main graphic techniques used in this work. Let's look at all the main contrasts individually.

1. Contrast between large and small text.

2. Contrast between planar and linear effects. On the example of the first two screens I will consider this point.
The planar effect creates all the text, which is located on the 3 and 4 of the column, and typed a large typeface. These texts create a large rectangles that create a planar effect.
The linear effect is created by parts of the text, which are typed with a small typeface, in the first place it is the menu, which also cuts through its line of the plane of the large text, which creates a huge contrast, which in turn creates the effect of brightness.
Similarly, the linear effect is created by horizontal lines around the huge headlines Live Broadcasts and Internet Radio, which also cut through the plane of the text, with the headlines themselves Live Broadcasts and Internet Radio create the planar effect, and the lines around respectively a linear effect, which creates additional contrast in the headline.

3. Contrast of verticals and horizontals. This is also a pronounced contrast, which permeates the main page from beginning to end. In the role of verticals acts text, in the role of horizontal acts also text, plus horizontal lines and photos.
In many places on the page, counterforms of rectangles are formed, making the background active.
1. External Rhythm. The external rhythm on the main page is made dynamic. It grows gradually and by the end of the page increases several times. Similarly arranged and hierarchy on the importance of information, at the top is the most important content, and then comes a smooth decline in importance. Thus, the most important information at a slow rhythm is most convenient to read, and less important information, the amount of which is much more, was able to arrange compactly due to the rapid pace.

2. Internal rhythm. Internal rhythm on the main page simultaneously consists of two rhythms. These rhythms are very contrasting, one slow (large text, the other fast (small text). This brings several characteristics to the work: additional contrast and orderliness, and it also adds a great deal of variety, while maintaining a balance with uniformity.
All of the above-mentioned benefits and potentials that were drawn out and the functionality that was added, all this brings such a platform to a new level, namely the level of a social network in audio format. Because any user can easily create their own podcast channel or Internet radio station and easily broadcast their audio content while communicating with other users.
